SLATE is the Secondary Level Assessment Test of
English. The primary function of SLATE is to assess the English language
proficiency of young learners of English as a second language. SLATE addresses
a younger audience than the iTEP, that being primarily high school age, or
younger, students who want to study in the United States or in other English
speaking high schools and academies.
